Adv. Moran Meiri is one of the founding partners of Matry, Meiri, Wacht & Co. and Head of its Commercial Department where he handles all legal affairs of its clients. Within this framework, Moran provides ongoing advice on commercial matters to public companies, municipal and government organizations, as well as individuals, and provides legal support in investment transactions.
Adv. Moran Meiri also represents the Department’s clients in a range of litigation cases, including shareholder disputes, class actions and derivative lawsuits.
Adv. Moran Meiri has handled and advised on major capital market events that occurred in recent years, among others, as a special legal advisor to boards of directors and independent committees, an external examiner on behalf of public companies and an examiner on behalf of the Israel Securities Authority.
Adv. Moran Meiri is a leading expert in Israeli sports law and in recent years has represented clients in high-profile sports litigation cases. Within this framework, Adv. Meiri represents Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club and leading football players in legal disputes and is involved in the purchase, sale and transfer of football players in Israel and abroad, including leading football coaches.
Adv. Moran Meiri has extensive experience in handling arbitration proceedings related to sports law and representing clients before the FIFA, UEFA and other international sports organizations. Moran was one of the core founders of the IPFL- Israel Professional Football Leagues organization.
Adv. Moran Meiri is a lecturer of law and sports law at the Israeli College of Management – Academic Studies and was as a member of the Israel Securities Authority from 2004 to 2007. In this capacity, Adv. Meiri served, among others, as a member of the Prospectus Committee, the Tenders Committee and the Plea Bargain Examination Committee. Moran also serves as an External Director of Castro Model Ltd.
